Jordan on Monday hosted a meeting for the Stability Support Group affiliated with the global coalition to defeat the so-called Islamic State group, attended by 100 participants from 32 countries.

During the meeting held in coordination with the United Arab Emirates and Germany, Adviser to Jordanian Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Nawaf al-Tal emphasized that Jordan will remain at the forefront of countries fighting terrorism, the Jordanian news agency (PETRA) reported.

He said Jordan is hosting the meeting for the second time this year and this sends a clear message that the Kingdom is resolved to defeat IS and prop up the successes made in liberated areas.

Al-Tal stressed that military successes should be accompanied by humanitarian, developmental and political efforts.
