Shops, eater­ies tar­geted

Mu­nic­i­pal­ity in­spec­tor ver­i­fy­ing the ex­piry date of food items at a store. Pub­lic Re­la­tions Depart­ment at Kuwait Mu­nic­i­pal­ity dis­closed that Jahra Vi­o­la­tion Re­moval Depart­ment, as part of the ex­tended cam­paign ti­tled “With your co­op­er­a­tion we beau­tify it”, em­barked on an in­spec­tion tour of Jahra gover­norate, re­ports Al-Seyas­sah daily.

Head of the depart­ment Su­laiman Al-Ghais stated the cam­paign tar­geted shops and restau­rants, which re­sulted in the is­suance of 13 vi­o­la­tions against un­whole­some food­stuff, un­li­censed ad­ver­tise­ments and op­er­at­ing a shop with­out rel­e­vant li­cense from Kuwait Mu­nic­i­pal­ity.

They also con­fis­cated and de­stroyed 85 kgs of ex­pired food­stuff.

Pub­lic Re­la­tions Depart­ment called upon cit­i­zens and ex­pa­tri­ates to con­tact hot­line 139 or so­cial me­dia site kuw­mun@ for com­plaints and le­gal ac­tion will be taken with­out de­lay.
