The administrative branch affiliated to Islamic Heritage Revival Society (IHRS) in Omariya annually distributes Iftar meals to fasting people in four mosques in Omariya and Farwaniya areas.
Last year alone, it distributed 24,000 Iftar meals. The branch also receives Zakat Al-Fitr in form of food at the end of Ramadan which it distributes to the needy.
Head of the branch Hamad Al-Ammar explained that the branch provides financial aid to those afflicted by natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods in various countries with the cooperation of continental committees affiliated to IHRS. It also assists in organizing Omrah trips for people earning less income such as housemaids and domestic workers.
He affirmed the keenness of the branch to bring up young Muslims who are devoted to the teachings of Islam.
