IHRS’ branch dis­trib­utes If­tar meals in 4 mosques ev­ery year

The ad­min­is­tra­tive branch af­fil­i­ated to Is­lamic Her­itage Re­vival So­ci­ety (IHRS) in Omariya an­nu­ally dis­trib­utes If­tar meals to fast­ing peo­ple in four mosques in Omariya and Far­waniya ar­eas.

Last year alone, it dis­trib­uted 24,000 If­tar meals. The branch also re­ceives Zakat Al-Fitr in form of food at the end of Ra­madan which it dis­trib­utes to the needy.

Head of the branch Ha­mad Al-Am­mar ex­plained that the branch pro­vides fi­nan­cial aid to those af­flicted by nat­u­ral dis­as­ters such as earth­quakes and floods in var­i­ous coun­tries with the co­op­er­a­tion of con­ti­nen­tal com­mit­tees af­fil­i­ated to IHRS. It also as­sists in or­ga­niz­ing Om­rah trips for peo­ple earn­ing less in­come such as house­maids and do­mes­tic work­ers.

He af­firmed the keen­ness of the branch to bring up young Mus­lims who are de­voted to the teach­ings of Is­lam.

Al-Am­mar ex­plained that the branch or­ga­nizes Qu­ran mem­o­riza­tion and recita­tion cour­ses. So far, 54 cour­ses were or­ga­nized for boys and 42 for girls. Dur­ing this year’s Ra­madan, 256 par­tic­i­pants from nine mosques in Omariya, Rabya, Far­waniya, and Ish­biliya ar­eas took part in the cour­ses of­fered by the branch.
