Ambassador Al-Bader presents credentials in Germany
Kuwaiti Ambassador Najeeb Al-Bader presented his credentials on Monday to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin.
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Bader said he had conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the president.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Al-Bader affirmed the strong Kuwaiti-German ties, adding that Germany played a big role in the war to liberate Kuwait from the Iraqi Invasion in 1991, by allowing allied troops to use its airbases and airports, as well as providing financial aid to the troops.
He also said that Germany is the number one destination for Kuwaiti investments in Europe.
The number of trade and investment cooperation between the two sides is estimated at over 35 billion euros, he noted. (KUNA)
