Win­ter starts end of month

KUWAIT: Veteran Kuwaiti as­tronomer Dr Saleh Al-Ojairi said that, in view of re­cent thun­der­storms and chang­ing weather, tem­per­a­tures were ex­pected to drop to 15-20 C de­grees by the last week of Novem­ber, mark­ing the true be­gin­ning of win­ter. Mean­while, the In­te­rior Min­istry had is­sued a state­ment yes­ter­day warn­ing road users, sea and desert go­ers of bad weather con­di­tions ex­pe­ri­enced in Kuwait. The In­te­rior Min­istry’s pub­lic re­la­tions depart­ment called on the pub­lic to use the 112 hot­line in case of emer­gency.

Taima clinic

A 22-year-old state­less per­son was re­cently ar­rested for rob­bing the Taima clinic in Jahra, said se­cu­rity sources, not­ing that the sus­pect showed fierce re­sis­tance to his ar­rest.
