Deportee ar­rested with forged pass­port

KUWAIT: A man who was de­ported out of Kuwait be­fore was ar­rested in Jaber Al-Ali with pos­ses­sion of a forged pass­port. The In­dian man’s true iden­tity was dis­cov­ered af­ter he was fin­ger­printed. He was sent to crim­i­nal de­tec­tives to find out how he reen­tered Kuwait, and find out if he has any ac­com­plices.

Driver stabbed Two thieves stabbed an Asian driver in the shoul­der in Saad Al-Ab­dal­lah. Po­lice went to the area and sent the driver to hos­pi­tal. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing in search for the sus­pects who face at­tempted mur­der charges.

Con­fu­sion Sev­eral peo­ple called in­te­rior min­istry oper­a­tions to re­port see­ing a group of peo­ple dressed in black march­ing to­wards the Ab­dali border cross­ing. Judg­ing from the way they looked and acted, the call­ers feared that the group could be Is­lamic mil­i­tants. Po­lice later dis­cov­ered that the group were in­tend­ing to cross in to Iraq in or­der to visit the Kar­bala City to at­tend the Arba’een event. There were 12 per­sons, most of whom be­long to one fam­ily. Po­lice told them that such gath­er­ings are only al­lowed af­ter tak­ing a li­cense from in­te­rior min­istry, so they went back to their cars and re­turned to their homes.

Fights A man was hos­pi­tal­ized with a bro­ken nose fol­low­ing a fight in Mah­boula. He pressed charges against his foe af­ter­wards. A case was filed for in­ves­ti­ga­tions. Separately, a man sus­tained sev­eral bro­ken bones in a 3-on-1 at­tack re­ported in Abu Hlaifa. The man re­ported the case to lo­cal po­lice, and gave of­fi­cers a med­i­cal re­port show­ing his in­juries. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing. —Al-Rai
