Kuwait’s Sixth Heritage Festival kicks off today
KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Sixth Heritage Festival, patronized by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah, kicks off today at Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village, with participation of heritage devotees from Kuwait and other Gulf states.
The General Supervisor of the festival, Amiri Diwan Advisor Mohammad Dhaifallah Sharar, in press remarks yesterday, expressed pride of His Highness the Amir’s sponsorship for this event, expressing gratitude to His Highness the Amir for the great support and care “to one of the most important rallies of heritage admirers in Kuwait and the Gulf region.”
The festival witnesses this year a quantum leap with diverse activities and competitions of beauty and endurance of goats, horses, falcons, besides the marine heritage held at fishermen “diwans”, he added.
Vice Director of the Festival’s Higher committee and head of the festival’s competitions committee, Sheikh Sabah Fahad Sabah Al-Sabah, said the jury of each competition were chosen according to high qualifications of efficiency and integrity. — KUNA
