Kuwait’s Sixth Her­itage Fes­ti­val kicks off to­day

KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Sixth Her­itage Fes­ti­val, pa­tron­ized by His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad AlJaber Al-Sabah, kicks off to­day at Sabah Al-Ah­mad Her­itage Vil­lage, with par­tic­i­pa­tion of her­itage devo­tees from Kuwait and other Gulf states.

The Gen­eral Su­per­vi­sor of the fes­ti­val, Amiri Di­wan Ad­vi­sor Mo­ham­mad Dhaifal­lah Sharar, in press re­marks yes­ter­day, ex­pressed pride of His High­ness the Amir’s spon­sor­ship for this event, ex­press­ing grat­i­tude to His High­ness the Amir for the great sup­port and care “to one of the most im­por­tant ral­lies of her­itage ad­mir­ers in Kuwait and the Gulf re­gion.”

The fes­ti­val wit­nesses this year a quan­tum leap with di­verse ac­tiv­i­ties and com­pe­ti­tions of beauty and en­durance of goats, horses, fal­cons, be­sides the marine her­itage held at fish­er­men “di­wans”, he added.

Vice Di­rec­tor of the Fes­ti­val’s Higher com­mit­tee and head of the fes­ti­val’s com­pe­ti­tions com­mit­tee, Sheikh Sabah Fa­had Sabah Al-Sabah, said the jury of each com­pe­ti­tion were cho­sen ac­cord­ing to high qual­i­fi­ca­tions of ef­fi­ciency and in­tegrity. — KUNA
