Splash of colors at ILOA
Thursday 5 November 2015 was not just another working day at the Indian Learners Own Academy Kuwait (ILOA Kuwait), but it was a school day with a very pleasant, colorful twist to it.
As more than 200 students assembled in the school auditorium under the guidance of LOA’s dynamic and brilliant Principal, Asha Sharma, LOA Art teacher and internationally acclaimed world art specialist Sasikrishnan, in the presence of Suhail, the Marketing Manager of Faber-Castell, the scene was set for an active participation by the students in an art workshop held under the patronage of Faber-Castell, world leaders in the manufacture of art supplies, pens, pencils, high-end writing instruments, luxury leather goods and office supplies.
Asha Sharma, inaugurated the Workshop and what followed were a few hours of sheer creative indulgence, learning and fun using Faber-Castell Connector Pens under the guidance of Artist Sasikrishnan who explained the different techniques of drawing using Connector Pens. Through an interactive session, the art maestro not only educated the little artists in the art of creating artistic masterpieces but also explained the importance of art education as a tool to remove fear in children and instill confidence in them. He shed light on various art techniques through which concentration and focusing ability can be improved in youngsters, in order to enhance their academic performance. Within the short span of the Workshop the Master shared priceless knowledge gained through more than two decades lived as an artist and art educator who has travelled all over the globe as an art spokesperson at various vistas.
Sohail, introduced to the students and teachers, the different products of Faber-Castell that can be used for doodling, squiggling, drawing etc. The workshop wound up with a question and answer session for the students and winners were rewarded with gifts sponsored by Faber-Castell.
