Visitors hail inventions fair
KUWAIT: Deputy Chairman of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Abdulwahab Al-Wazan emphasized the importance of the 8th International Invention Fair of the Middle East (IIFME), currently held in Kuwait. Without inventions, there will be no real economy, Wazan told KUNA on the sidelines of the fair. He expressed the KCCI support and welcome to Kuwait’s organization and hosting of such kind of international events.
Former Kuwaiti minister of state for public works Fadel Safar echoed a similar view. He pointed out that the International Invention Fair is a source of pride for Kuwait it hosts over 160 brilliant inventors from 30 countries who compete to serve humanity. Safar also stated that inventions displayed are greatly diverse and include products to develop various sectors.
Meanwhile, head of Qatar delegation to the fair Mohammad Al-Kowari said that his country seeks to draw upon Kuwait’s experience on organizing such events to support the young inventors and help them meet and promote their work for business and industry leaders.
The 8th International Invention Fair is one of the most significant and largest specialized exhibitions of inventions in the Middle East, and deemed as the second largest international exhibition all over the world.
Being part of the efforts of the International Exhibition of Geneva it is also deemed as an opportunity for revealing the culture of invention to societies and strengthening the existing relationships among the inventors, companies and corporations.
Organizing the international exhibition in the Middle East represents a significant aspect of the implemented achievements by the Scientific Club of Kuwait and the sponsoring authorities for this exhibition.
