SCPD, UNDP sign technical support project
KUWAIT: The Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD) and the UN Development program (UNDP) yesterday signed the document of a national project for supporting the technical capabilities of the SCPD and the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB). The project will offer technical support to some other government bodies to help them develop a favorable environment for the implementation and monitoring of the national mid-term development plan, SCPD Assistant Secretary General Khaled Al-Mahdi said.
He added that the project will cover developing institutional and human capabilities as well as the organizational effectiveness for an efficacious development planning. It will also enhance the technical expertise and institutional abilities for strategic planning. Mahdi signed the agreement with the UN Development Program (UNDP) Resident Representative in Kuwait Zineb Benjelloun. — KUNA
