Sheikh Sal­man re­veals thor­ough plan to over­haul Kuwaiti sports

KUWAIT: Min­is­ter of In­for­ma­tion and Min­is­ter of State for Youth Af­fairs Sheikh Sal­man Sabah Al-Salem Al-Hu­moud Al-Sabah has said that there is a com­pre­hen­sive strate­gic plan to over­haul Kuwaiti sports and main­tain good re­la­tions with in­ter­na­tional sports bod­ies.

Sheikh Sal­man made the state­ment Thurs­day night while at­tend­ing a cel­e­bra­tion of Al­ba­nia’s Em­bassy here mark­ing its Na­tional Day. He stressed readi­ness of Jaber Al-Ah­mad In­ter­na­tional Sta­dium to host sports events, re­fer­ring to the visit of Frist Deputy Prime Min­is­ter and For­eign Min­is­ter Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Ha­mad Al-Sabah and some min­is­ters to this sports fa­cil­ity. Sheikh Sal­man lauded the depth of re­la­tions be­tween Al­ba­nia and Kuwait and their peo­ples in all do­mains, es­pe­cially the in­vest­ment one, af­firm­ing Kuwait’s keen­ness on pro­mot­ing th­ese re­la­tions. Mean­while, Al­ba­nian Am­bas­sador in Kuwait Ku­tim Mo­rina said that the two coun­tries enjoy his­toric and strong bi­lat­eral re­la­tions. The spe­cial re­la­tions have great im­pact on the growth of Kuwaiti in­vest­ments in Al­ba­nia, he said.

He ex­tolled the hu­man­i­tar­ian role of His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in sup­port­ing Al­ba­nia in sev­eral fields and build­ing ed­u­ca­tion and health­care cen­ters to serve Al­ba­ni­ans. — KUNA
