AOU con­ducts work­shop on its work­ing en­vi­ron­ment

The Arab Open Univer­sity (AOU) or­ga­nized a work­shop on “Anal­y­sis of AOU Work­ing En­vi­ron­ment”, which was headed by Pro­fes­sor Moudi Al-Hu­moud, Rec­tor of AOU, and in pres­ence of Vice Rec­tors, Deans, Direc­tors of AOU Branches and Direc­tors of HQ De­part­ments in ad­di­tion to Pro­fes­sor Mah­mood El-Ga­mal, Pro­fes­sor of Busi­ness Stud­ies at Kuwait Univer­sity and a mem­ber of the Per­for­mance Eval­u­a­tion Com­mit­tee of the AOU Strate­gic Plan.

Al-Hu­moud started the work­shop by a state­ment con­firm­ing the com­mit­ment of AOU to­wards the par­tic­i­pa­tion of all AOU lead­er­ship and top man­age­ment in this work­shop in or­der to set the fourth AOU strate­gic plan (2017-2022), which are jointly be­ing worked on. AOU lead­er­ship and top man­age­ment staff par­tic­i­pated in this work­shop to ben­e­fit from their ex­pe­ri­ence and from the achieved projects and pro­grams in the third strate­gic plan 2012 - 2016.

The AOU top man­age­ment is look­ing for­ward to achiev­ing the work­shop ob­jec­tives, pri­mar­ily SWOT anal­y­sis of AOU and its in­ter­nal and ex­ter­nal en­vi­ron­ment at all its branches. One of the main work­shop ob­jec­tives is the eval­u­a­tion of achieve­ment of ob­jec­tives of the cur­rent and fourth strate­gic plans, Al-Hu­moud said, adding AOU aims to trans­late its no­ble mis­sion and ob­jec­tives into re­al­ity and to be pi­o­neer­ing in build­ing science and knowl­edge so­ci­ety as well as to keep up with the fast-evolv­ing devel­op­ments in the fields of science, re­search and ser­vices. Dur­ing the work­shop, all par­tic­i­pants rep­re­sented their depart­ment work­ing en­vi­ron­ment at AOU. The work­shop was con­cluded with a set of rec­om­men­da­tions and sug­ges­tions in the light of dis­cus­sion held on this is­sue.
