Kuwait Univer­sity par­tic­i­pates in Amman In­ter­na­tional Book Fair

AMMAN: The Kuwait Univer­sity is ac­tively par­tic­i­pat­ing in the 16th Amman In­ter­na­tional Book Fair, with a special pav­il­ion dis­play­ing pub­li­ca­tions that re­flect its high sci­en­tific and cul­tural sta­tus. The pav­il­ion is be­ing taken care of by direc­tor of the Wiring and Ara­biza­tion Com­mit­tee of the Univer­sity’s sci­en­tific pub­li­ca­tion coun­cil Ghada Al-Has­san, and direc­tor of the Kuwait Jour­nal of Sci­ence Mashael AlAb­dul­lah. The fair aims to high­light the sci­en­tific pro­duc­tion of the Univer­sity, Al-Has­san said yes­ter­day on the side­lines of the event. It is also out of keen­ness on ac­tive pres­ence in the ma­jor cul­tural events. In ad­di­tion, the Univer­sity is ea­ger to fur­ther spread its pub­li­ca­tions, which in­clude deep re­search and stud­ies cov­er­ing var­i­ous fields of sci­ence and knowl­edge, she added. The Kuwait Min­istries of In­for­ma­tion, and Awqaf and Is­lamic Af­fairs are present at the fair with two pavil­ions dis­play­ing their pub­li­ca­tions and spe­cial­ized re­searches. The Cen­ter for Re­search and Stud­ies on Kuwait is also par­tic­i­pat­ing. Up to 350 Arab and for­eign pub­lish­ing houses are tak­ing part in the 16th Amman In­ter­na­tional Book Fair, where Pales­tine is the guest of honor. The fair was opened for the pub­lic ten days ago and closed yes­ter­day. —KUNA
