Sheikh Sal­man meets UNDP rep­re­sen­ta­tive

Min­is­ter of In­for­ma­tion and Min­is­ter of State for Youth Af­fairs Sheikh Sal­man Sabah AlSalem Al-Hu­moud Al-Sabah yes­ter­day dis­cussed with the United Na­tions Res­i­dent Co­or­di­na­tor in the State of Kuwait, Zineb Touimi-Be­jel­loun ways of ben­e­fit­ing from the ex­per­tise of the Of­fice of United Na­tions De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram in youth de­vel­op­ment ex­pe­ri­ences and their projects.

Sheikh Sal­man as­serted in a state­ment keen­ness of the Min­istry of State for Youth Af­fairs on young­sters as youth have be­come a pri­or­ity that must be sup­ported. He added that the min­istry is al­ways seek­ing to ben­e­fit from tech­ni­cal co­op­er­a­tion and ad­vi­sory ex­per­tise pro­vided by the United Na­tions De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram, prais­ing the his­toric and ex­cel­lent re­la­tion­ship link­ing Kuwait with the UN and its var­i­ous agen­cies. For her part, Be­jel­loun un­der­scored the depth of the re­la­tion­ship and co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the United Na­tions De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram and the Min­istry of State for Youth Af­fairs. She pointed to the many im­por­tant as­pects of co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the pro­gram and the min­istry in­clud­ing a pro­gram un­der the slo­gan (In­no­va­tion In achiev­ing Sus­tain­able De­vel­op­ment Goals) in which 30 young peo­ple have taken part.
