ABK spon­sors Bri­tish Acad­e­mies In­ter­na­tional Arts and Sports Car­ni­val at BSK

Build­ing on its con­tin­u­ous sup­port of ed­u­ca­tion, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) re­cently an­nounced its spon­sor­ship of the Bri­tish Acad­e­mies In­ter­na­tional Arts (BAIA) and Bri­tish Acad­e­mies Sports (BAS) Car­ni­val, which was held at the Bri­tish School of Kuwait (BSK), on 24 Septem­ber, 2016. The car­ni­val was in­au­gu­rated by His Ex­cel­lency Matthew Lodge, the Bri­tish Am­bas­sador to Kuwait, and Mrs Vera Al Mutawa, founder of BSK.

The Car­ni­val was held in an ef­fort to highlight the im­por­tance of stu­dents and school ac­tiv­i­ties, as part of the over­all ed­u­ca­tion process. The Banks sup­port comes in line with its be­lief in the im­por­tance of ed­u­ca­tion and de­vel­op­ment through ac­tiv­i­ties and ini­tia­tives that raise aware­ness of Kuwait’s youth, and their need to en­gage in school re­lated ac­tiv­i­ties that in turn, in­still a pos­i­tive sense of be­long­ing that will in­evitably trans­late to com­mit­ment and hard work through their school years. The Bank en­gaged with the stu­dents and at­ten­dees through the dis­tri­bu­tion of give­aways, adding to the ex­cite­ment of the fun-filled am­biance fea­tur­ing a se­ries of fun ac­tiv­i­ties such as per­for­mances, com­pe­ti­tions, raf­fle draws, sports, and play ar­eas to ac­com­mo­date all age groups. The school opened its doors to its stu­dents, em­bassies of Kuwait and 3,000 in­vi­tees free of charge for a fun-filled day.
