Speak­ing at a lec­ture about the lat­est in obe­sity treat­ments, di­ges­tive dis­eases and gas­troin­testi­nal en­doscopy con­sul­tant Dr Fahd Al-Ibrahim said Kuwait is ranked the high­est amongst Arab coun­tries in obe­sity rates. Founder and chair­man of the na­tional project for re­tirees Dr Salah Al-Ab­dul Jader an­nounced or­ga­niz­ing Kuwait’s first com­pe­ti­tion for the best re­tiree project. He said that the com­pe­ti­tion aims at mak­ing use of re­tirees’ ex­per­tise and skills. Ab­dul Jader added that valu­able prizes have been set for the top 10 win­ners. Sheikha Awrad Jaber Al-Ah­mad an­nounced that the chil­dren of the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ah­mad have do­nated KD 1 mil­lion to com­plete the first phase of the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ah­mad Charity Cen­ter in Canada. Sheikh Ab­dul­lah AlNouri Charity Chair­man Ja­mal Al-Nouri said that the me­dia is a strate­gic part­ner in pro­mot­ing charity work and high­light­ing the ef­forts ex­erted by var­i­ous Kuwaiti charity or­ga­ni­za­tions.
