Kuwaitis urged not to visit trou­bled Ethiopia

The Kuwaiti Em­bassy in Ethiopia has ap­pealed to cit­i­zens not to travel to Ad­dis Ababa now be­cause of the de­vel­op­ments of se­cu­rity sit­u­a­tions there. Kuwaiti Am­bas­sador Rashed Al-Ha­jri ad­vised, in a state­ment a copy of which KUNA re­ceived, Kuwaitis to avoid visit­ing Ethiopia now “un­der any cir­cum­stances”. He also urged Kuwaitis cur­rently in Ethiopia ei­ther to leave the coun­try im­me­di­ately or to be vig­i­lant and cau­tious for their safety. The Ethiopian govern­ment de­clared a state of emer­gency on Sun­day across the coun­try for six months so as to re­store sta­bil­ity. The coun­try has been wit­ness­ing protests for sev­eral weeks, lead­ing to the killing of scores of peo­ple.
