Kuwait’s Olympic chief ex­tols ties with Saudi

RIYADH: Chair­man of Kuwait’s Olympic Com­mit­tee Sheikh Fa­had Jaber Al-Ali AlSabah said yes­ter­day that he is im­pressed with the level of co­op­er­a­tion be­tween his coun­try and Saudi Ara­bia on is­sues re­lated to sports.

Those re­marks came in a state­ment Sheikh Fa­had Al-Ali gave to KUNA af­ter meet­ing with Chair­man of the Saudi Pub­lic Author­ity for Sports Prince Ab­dul­lah bin Msaad in the Saudi cap­i­tal. More­over, he said that the meet­ing comes “against a back­drop of brotherly ties be­tween Kuwait and Saudi Ara­bia.”

On the meet­ing, Sheikh Fa­had Al-Ali said it tack­led is­sues of mu­tual con­cern as well as strate­gies to fur­ther de­velop the sports scene in Gulf na­tions. He also added that such meet­ings are cru­cial to help bring col­lec­tive goals to fruition, not­ing that vis­its will be rou­tinely ex­changed to en­hance joint co­op­er­a­tion. — KUNA
