Kuwait do­nates $795,000 to char­i­ties

Kuwaiti Am­bas­sador to Jor­dan Ha­mad AlDuaij has handed a sum of $795,000 to Jor­da­nian char­i­ties in or­der to al­le­vi­ate the suf­fer­ings and woes of Syr­ian and Jor­da­nian or­phans. The am­bas­sador said the fi­nan­cial aid, pro­vided by Kuwaiti char­i­ties, is part of Kuwait’s hu­man­i­tar­ian ef­forts in­structed by the Gulf na­tion’s po­lit­i­cal lead­er­ship with a view to help­ing the needy in brotherly and friendly coun­tries. Kuwait’s fresh aid also aims to help the Jor­da­nian govern­ment re­spond to the re­flec­tions of the cur­rent re­gional chal­lenges and de­vel­op­ments, he added. The money was pro­vided by Kuwait’s So­cial Re­form So­ci­ety and Is­lamic Her­itage Re­vival So­ci­ety, he pointed out. Kuwaiti char­i­ties have been pro­vid­ing hu­man­i­tar­ian and re­lief aid to the needy and or­phans in Jor­dan, es­pe­cially since the out­break of the Syr­ian cri­sis. —KUNA

KUWAIT: In col­lab­o­ra­tion with Kuwait Car­di­ol­o­gists Syn­di­cate and Kuwait Car­di­ol­ogy So­ci­ety, Sabah AlAhmed Cen­ter for Gift­ed­ness and Cre­ativ­ity (SACGC) will launch a full week ac­tiv­i­ties to cel­e­brate the World Car­di­ol­ogy Day (Oc­to­ber 13-19) at the Av­enues Mall. SACGC said that the ac­tiv­i­ties would be on from 10:00am to 10:00pm.
