Amir con­doles with Sisi over Si­nai at­tack vic­tims

His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of con­do­lence to Egyp­tian Pres­i­dent Ab­del-Fat­tah el-Sissi over the vic­tims of the “ter­ror­ist” at­tack that tar­geted a se­cu­rity check­point in North Si­nai Gover­norate.

His High­ness the Amir ex­pressed Kuwait’s strong­est con­dem­na­tion to such heinous terror acts that at­tempt to cre­ate in­se­cu­rity and in­sta­bil­ity in the re­gion. His High­ness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ah­mad AlJaber Al-Sabah and His High­ness the Prime Min­is­ter Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Ha­mad Al-Sabah sent ca­bles of sim­i­lar sen­ti­ment.

Yes­ter­day, some fif­teen mil­i­tants and 12 mil­i­tary per­son­nel were killed in clashes in Egypt’s North Si­nai Gover­norate at a se­cu­rity check­point. Other six army per­son­nel and a num­ber of mil­i­tants were also in­jured.

Ear­lier yes­ter­day, Kuwait’s Min­istry of For­eign Af­fairs strongly con­demned the deadly ter­ror­ist at­tack on a se­cu­rity check­point in North Si­nai, Egypt, on Fri­day. The State of Kuwait reaf­firms sup­port to Egypt and backs all mea­sures the Egyp­tian au­thor­i­ties might take to pre­serve the coun­try’s sta­bil­ity and se­cu­rity, an of­fi­cial at the Min­istry said.

Kuwait main­tains its prin­ci­pled stance against all forms and man­i­fes­ta­tions of ter­ror­ism what­ever the jus­ti­fi­ca­tions might be. The of­fi­cial ex­pressed sin­cere con­do­lences to the fam­i­lies of the vic­tims and the peo­ple and govern­ment of Egypt. — KUNA
