Sabah Al-Ah­mad Cen­ter opens ap­plied ed­u­ca­tion work­shops

KUWAIT: The Sabah Al-Ah­mad Cen­ter for Gift­ed­ness and Cre­ativ­ity (SACGC), a Kuwait Foun­da­tion for the Ad­vance­ment of Sciences in­sti­tu­tions, hosted a cer­e­mony yes­ter­day to in­au­gu­rate ap­plied ed­u­ca­tion work­shops (Fab Lab). Jahra Gover­nor Lieu­tenant Gen­eral Fa­had Al-Amir and other state of­fi­cials at­tended the event. SACGC Gen­eral Di­rec­tor Dr Omar Al-Ban­nai said in a speech that Fab Lab is the first work­shop of its kind that gives young peo­ple an op­por­tu­nity to ex­change ideas and uti­lize their time in a pos­i­tive way. Fur­ther­more, he spoke about the cen­ter’s math­e­mat­ics club “which aims to turn math­e­mat­ics from be­ing an an­a­lyt­i­cal sub­ject to a tan­gi­ble one us­ing mod­ern sci­en­tific tools and ad­vanced ed­u­ca­tional skills.

Mean­while, Lt Gen Amir com­mended the cen­ter’s achieve­ments, which he said were crowned with open­ing class­rooms for gifted stu­dents at public schools in Jahra, in co­op­er­a­tion with the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion.
