Trio sold phone lines to in­mates

Act­ing In­te­rior Min­istry As­sis­tant Un­der­sec­re­tary for Crim­i­nal Ev­i­dence Ma­jor General Shi­hab Al-Shim­mari or­dered two women and a man be sent to the pub­lic pros­e­cu­tion af­ter they reg­is­tered phones in the names of cit­i­zens and ex­pats, then sold them to cen­tral prison in­mates, leav­ing in­no­cent peo­ple to bear the charges. A se­cu­rity source said a cit­i­zen told Khai­tan po­lice that she was sur­prised to find there were two phone lines in her name, and the com­pany was de­mand­ing pay­ment. The source said in­ves­ti­ga­tions led to dis­cov­er­ing that a bedoon and two women, both cit­i­zens, were be­hind this scam.
