Trio ‘brought to­gether’ by drugs

KUWAIT: A car was spot­ted driv­ing er­rat­i­cally in Ah­madi, so it was stopped, and po­lice found two men and an Egyp­tian woman in an ab­nor­mal con­di­tion. The three had used drugs ear­lier, so their car was searched and 62 tablets of a banned sub­stance were found. The Egyp­tian woman said she does not have any work re­la­tions with the men and it was the drugs that brought them to­gether. The three are be­ing ques­tioned by the Drugs Con­trol Gen­eral De­part­ment.

Suicide threat

A man told po­lice his wife was threat­en­ing to slash her wrists and com­mit suicide due to do­mes­tic prob­lems, so po­lice rushed to help and con­vinced the woman to change her mind.

Fam­ily row

An Egyp­tian man attacked his sis­ter-in-law at her house and stole KD 900. The woman told po­lice that her broth­erin-law beat her while her hus­band was out of the coun­try and took KD 900 be­fore es­cap­ing. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Shop­per mugged

A man took ad­van­tage of a Euro­pean woman be­ing busy with her chil­dren at a Salmiya mar­ket and stole her bag that con­tained $5,000 and KD 90, be­side IDs and other doc­u­ments.

Il­le­gal en­tery

A Pak­istani man suc­ceeded in en­ter­ing the coun­try il­le­gally by sea, but was caught by ac­ci­dent in Far­waniya. Po­lice saw the man try­ing to hide from them, and he was ar­rested after at­tempt­ing to es­cape on foot. He was taken to the po­lice sta­tion where he con­fessed that he swam his way into the coun­try, adding that he was dumped by a boat near Kuwait’s ter­ri­to­rial wa­ters. He was sent to con­cerned au­thor­i­ties.

Bloody fight

A cit­i­zen in his twein­ties was stabbed by three per­sons fol­low­ing a fight which left him bleed­ing, so he was taken to Adan Hospi­tal. A se­cu­rity source said the man sought the help of po­lice and told them he was stabbed by three per­sons who were ar­gu­ing. He added that he was bleed­ing, so an am­bu­lance was dis­patched, but his con­di­tion re­quired the use of a mede­vac chopper, which flew him to Adan Hospi­tal.

Reck­less driv­ing

A cit­i­zen in his twen­ties was ar­rested fol­low­ing reck­less driv­ing in Saad Al-Ab­dul­lah. He had hashish and 43 il­licit tablets on him. He was sent to the Drugs Con­trol Guard De­part­ment.
