Trade ex­change with Bangladesh hit $70 mil­lion: Cham­ber

KUWAIT: Trade ex­change with Bangladesh hit $70 mil­lion in 2015, a Kuwait Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try (KCCI) of­fi­cial said yes­ter­day. Bangladesh has re­cently wit­nessed eco­nomic re­cov­ery in many ar­eas, es­pe­cially in the food and gar­ment in­dus­tries, KCCI Deputy Di­rec­tor General Ha­mad Al-Omair said af­ter a meet­ing with head of Bangladesh Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try.

Omair stressed keen­ness of KCCI on hav­ing fea­si­bil­ity stud­ies on in­vest­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties of mu­tual in­ter­est, for the Kuwaiti in­vestors to ex­am­ine. He ex­pressed hope for fur­ther bi­lat­eral trade over the com­ing years, re­fer­ring to some avail­able in­vest­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties in Bangladesh, mainly in oil, nat­u­ral gas and tech­nol­ogy. — KUNA
