KODPAK cel­e­brates Onam

Kot­tayam Dis­trict Pravasi As­so­ci­a­tion (KODPAK) cel­e­brated Onam on Fri­day at Pop­pins Hall Ab­bassiya with col­or­ful cul­tural pro­grams from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. It was a joy­ful day for more than 500 peo­ple who at­tended the cel­e­bra­tion in which many dig­ni­taries at­tended. Af­ter the prayer, the en­tire au­di­ence paid re­spect to the In­dian jawans who lost their lives re­cently. Ge­orge Thomas Kalayil (Gen­eral Sec­re­taryKODPAK) wel­comed all the in­vi­tees and guests present on the oc­ca­sion with Onam greet­ings and a note on the im­por­tance and ex­is­tence of KODPAK in Kuwait.

In the pres­i­den­tial ad­dress, Anoop So­man (Pres­i­dent-KODPAK), un­der­lined the im­por­tance of the uni­fi­ca­tion of all the na­tives of Kot­tayam un­der a sin­gle um­brella of KODPAK. He called for fur­ther co­or­di­na­tion for an im­me­di­ate mem­ber­ship cam­paign. Chief Guest the In­dian Embassy La­bor At­tache Thomas Joseph in­au­gu­rated the cel­e­bra­tion by light­ing the tra­di­tional lamp. Af­ter de­liv­er­ing the mes­sage of Onam, he un­veiled the of­fi­cial logo of KODPAK. OICC pres­i­dent Varghese Puthukku­lan­gara, KALA Kuwait Gen­eral Sec­re­tary Saji Ja­nard­hanan, Bharatiya Pravasi Par­ishad Gen­eral Sec­re­tary Hari Balarama­pu­ram, Pa­tron Sibichan Mali­akal and Vice pres­i­dent C S Bathar de­liv­ered fe­lic­i­ta­tion speeches. Justin James(Trea­surer-KODPAK) de­liv­ered a vote of thanks.
