The In­te­rior Min­istry’s vi­sions to amend the DNA law in­cludes re­strict­ing the process of tak­ing sam­ples to pub­lic sec­tor em­ploy­ees and work­ers in ‘dan­ger­ous and sen­si­tive po­si­tions’ in­clud­ing jobs in the Min­istry of De­fense, Min­istry of In­te­rior, Min­istry of Oil, Na­tional Guard and Kuwait Fire Ser­vice Direc­torate, as well as to pris­on­ers and sus­pects, sources said. Sam­ples will not be taken from civil em­ploy­ees, chil­dren or used as a re­quire­ment for Kuwaitis to ob­tain elec­tronic pass­ports, the sources added. — Al-Rai
