Eng Fad­hel Al Ali gets ASSE USA Pres­i­dent award

Amer­i­can So­ci­ety of Safety En­gi­neers (ASSE) Kuwait Chap­ter con­grat­u­lates the chap­ter chair­man Eng Fad­hel Al Ali, who has been rec­og­nized by ASSE USA , for Pres­i­dent Award in the year 2016 for his sig­nif­i­cant achieve­ment in the pro­fes­sion as well as for his out­stand­ing ser­vice to the Kuwait Chap­ter and ASSE as a whole. Eng Fad­hel Al Ali was pre­sented the award in a glit­ter­ing award cer­e­mony at Illi­nois, USA.

The ASSE USA Pres­i­dent’s Award is the high­est pres­i­den­tial honor given to an out­stand­ing mem­ber of the so­ci­ety. These are awards are given to those ASSE mem­bers who serves the so­ci­ety in achiev­ing ASSE ob­jec­tive of pro­tect­ing peo­ple, prop­erty and en­vi­ron­ment. The award is to en­cour­age and rec­og­nize the in­di­vid­ual ASSE mem­ber for his ex­cep­tional per­for­mance to the so­ci­ety, com­mu­nity and in­dus­try in im­prov­ing health, safety and the en­vi­ron­ment.

Mr Fad­hel Al Ali is the first Kuwaiti Cit­i­zen from ASSE Kuwait Chap­ter who re­ceives this pres­ti­gious award from Pres­i­dent of ASSE in the year 2016. En­gi­neer Fad­hel Al Ali holds Fire & Safety En­gi­neer­ing De­gree from Eastern Ken­tucky Univer­sity, Oc­cu­pa­tional Health and Safety Di­ploma from Texas State Tech­ni­cal In­sti­tute USA and Teach­ing and Ed­u­ca­tional di­ploma from MOE in Kuwait, has joined KNPC on 1977 as Safety Of­fi­cer and grad­u­ally pro­moted, till he be­came HSE Man­ager in 1995 and then he was trans­ferred to KPC Head Of­fice to es­tab­lish the first HSE Cor­po­rate depart­ment in the year 2002, Cur­rently hold­ing po­si­tion as Man­ager HSE with PCIC.

Dur­ing the year 2000, he took the lead in es­tab­lish­ing Amer­i­can So­ci­ety Safety En­gi­neers Chap­ter at Kuwait with like­minded HSE pro­fes­sion­als and be­came first Chair­man of the So­ci­ety. Mr Fad­hel Ali’s ef­fort in re­cruit­ing and re­tain­ing di­verse groups in vol­un­teer lead­er­ship, mem­ber­ship, and event par­tic­i­pa­tion in the So­ci­ety is highly com­mend­able.

Un­der Mr Fad­hel Ali’s Chair­man­ship and with his ex­cel­lent lead­er­ship, ASSE Kuwait Chap­ter has ob­tained the sup­port of all ma­jor oil sec­tor com­pa­nies, govern­ment agen­cies and pri­vate sec­tor com­pa­nies. Un­der his lead­er­ship, the ASSE Kuwait chap­ter suc­cess­fully con­ducted eight In­ter­na­tional Pro­fes­sional De­vel­op­ment HSSE Con­fer­ences and Eight HSE Ex­cel­lence award pro­gram for pri­vate sec­tor com­pa­nies in GCC coun­tries and be­came a lead­ing HSE or­ga­ni­za­tion in the re­gion.

Un­der his chair­man­ship, the 2015 con­fer­ence has wit­nessed the max­i­mum num­ber of Vol­un­teers from a di­ver­si­fied com­mu­nity. The PDC’15 or­ga­niz­ing com­mit­tee com­prised of 65 vol­un­teers who were ac­tive dur­ing the con­fer­ence days and 28 mem­bers rep­re­sented 6 dif­fer­ent com­mit­tees worked for the span of one year to or­ga­nize a suc­cess­ful con­fer­ence. The ASSE Kuwait chap­ter also have re­ceived best chap­ter gold award from ASSE for the last three years.
