Kuwait participates in UN trade law meeting in Vienna
Kuwait’s Department of Fatwa and Legislation took part in the United Nations 54th working group of the Commission on International Trade Law held with the participation of 60 countries. Kuwait is keen on partaking in this international forum as a suitable opportunity to gain experience and look at new international laws as a measure to develop and update national legislations, Head of the Kuwaiti delegation Nadia Faisal Al-Dabbous said yesterday. Dabbous added that she was looking forward to renew the membership of Kuwait at the Commission. Kuwait has been a member since 2013, and its membership ends in 2019. The mission of United Nations Commission on International Trade Law is to modernize and harmonize rules on international business. The 54th session is held at the Vienna International Centre, from October 31st till November fourth.
