Her­itage fair vi­tal for show­cas­ing skills: Of­fi­cial

A num­ber of par­tic­i­pants in Expo 965 stressed the im­por­tance of the her­itage and hand­i­craft ex­hi­bi­tion which rep­re­sents a vi­tal step to show­case par­tic­i­pants’ skills, craft, and their tra­di­tional her­itages. They ex­pressed keen­ness to par­tic­i­pate con­stantly in var­i­ous ex­hi­bi­tions for that pur­pose.

Par­tic­i­pants made the re­marks in sep­a­rate state­ments on the side­lines of an ex­hi­bi­tion or­ga­nized by Expo 965 team at Ah­mad AlAd­wani hall un­der the spon­sor­ship of Min­is­ter of In­for­ma­tion and Min­is­ter of State for Youth Af­fairs Sheikh Sal­man Al-Sabah.

Cre­ator and Gen­eral Co­or­di­na­tor for the team Re­searcher Ali Ka­mal said that this ex­hi­bi­tion has 70 par­tic­i­pant mem­bers for the team (Expo 965), which in­cludes nearly 100 iconic Kuwaiti cre­ative in­no­va­tors of pri­vate mu­se­ums and re­searchers in Kuwaiti her­itage, bird hunt­ing tools, and old equip­ment used in Kuwaiti games.

Ka­mal added that the team in­cludes am­a­teur stamps col­lec­tors, coin col­lec­tors, an­tiques, and old Kuwaiti doc­u­ments and col­lec­tions from sea and desert, in ad­di­tion to medals, dec­o­ra­tions and badges.

The co­or­di­na­tor pointed out that a dis­tin­guished group of Kuwaiti crafts­men are par­tic­i­pat­ing in this ex­hi­bi­tion, in­clud­ing old ships man­u­fac­tur­ing, and com­mem­o­ra­tive sculp­tures and draw­ings, artists, cal­lig­ra­phers and sculp­tors on wood, stone and metal com­po­si­tion of art paint­ing on wa­ter art and arabesque art. Ka­mal added the ex­hi­bi­tion con­tains a num­ber of Is­lamic art from old copies of the holy book of Qu­ran, in­clud­ing Is­lamic met­als and cur­ren­cies and other hold­ings.

Mean­while, the Un­der­sec­re­tary of Min­istry of In­for­ma­tion As­sis­tant to in­for­ma­tion ser­vices and new me­dia Yosif Mustapha, who is one of the hon­orees by the team, said in a press state­ment that the min­istry en­sured to pro­vide its ca­pa­bil­i­ties in sup­port of Kuwaiti youth. Mustapha called for those who owns sim­i­lar her­itage en­ti­ties to take the ini­tia­tive and con­tact the min­istry due to its open pol­icy in this re­gard.
