Olympic com­mit­tee to in­fuse young blood

KUWAIT: Kuwait Olympic Com­mit­tee is keen on infusing young blood into the man­age­rial side of sports in the coun­try, Com­mit­tee’s Chair­man Sheikh Fa­had Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah said yes­ter­day. Sheikh Fa­had Jaber made this re­mark dur­ing a meet­ing with ath­letes from var­i­ous sport fields. There are many ex­cep­tional in­di­vid­u­als who can ex­cel in car­ry­ing out ad­min­is­tra­tional du­ties under the sup­port of the Public Author­ity for Sport (PAS), Sheikh Fa­had said. The ath­letes, mean­while, lauded the Com­mit­tee’s back­ing to Kuwaiti youth who are ex­ert­ing their best ef­fort to bring back glory to sport in the coun­try. They also urged to lift sports sus­pen­sion in or­der for them to par­tic­i­pate in in­ter­na­tional sport­ing events. —KUNA
