Ministry signs KD 97.7m road infrastructure deal
KUWAIT: The Ministry of Public Works signed yesterday a contract at a cost of KD 97.7 million for work on a sewerage system in Saad Al-Abdullah road, with a timeframe of 36 months. The project aims to facilitate the flow of traffic in the area, Undersecretary of the ministry’s Road Construction Department Ahmad Al-Hassan said in a statement to the press. Moreover, he noted that the project entails building a road that stretches on 27.5 kilometers, in addition to four overpasses and a railway bridge.
On the project, Hassan said that it consists of 14.25 percent of construction work and 67.52 percent of infrastructure work, with 7 percent being electrical. Meanwhile, he also added that the ministry prioritizes infrastructure work, given how crucial it is to development goals and plans.
