Rain­bow-2016 reg­is­tra­tion con­tin­ues

Reg­is­tra­tion con­tin­ues for Draw­ing and Paint­ing com­pe­ti­tions “Mazhav­illu (Rain­bow 2016)”with the cap­tion of “Emer­gence of True Col­ors” sched­uled on to 11 Novem­ber 2016 at Carmel School, Khai­tan from 1 pm. The com­pe­ti­tions are clas­si­fied in to 4 groups as Kinder­garten (LKG&UKG), Class 1~4 (Sub Ju­niors), Class 5~8 (Ju­niors) and Class 9~12 (Se­niors). First prize win­ners of each cat­e­gory will pre­sented with Gold Medals (Gold Coins) fol­lowed by 2nd, 3rd­prizes and sev­eral at­trac­tive con­so­la­tions prizes. On­line regis­tra­tions are made avail­able though www.kalakuwait.com. The in­au­gu­ral ses­sion will start at 12.30 pm at Carmel School Au­di­to­rium. For par­ents and in­ter­ested artists of Kuwait to par­tic­i­pate, KALA-Kuwait is ar­rang­ing a Com­mu­nity Can­vas. A few se­lected works will be suit­ably re­warded with prizes.

Ker­ala Art Lovers As­so­ci­a­tion, KALA-Kuwait, one of the biggest In­dian as­so­ci­a­tions of Kuwait reg­is­tered un­der Hon Em­bassy of In­dia, con­ducts sev­eral pro­grams in Kuwait tar­get­ing en­tire In­dian com­mu­nity in Kuwait such as yearly Balakalamela (Youth Fes­ti­val for In­dian Stu­dents) and un­der­take sev­eral Char­ity pro­grams as well as many Cul­tural events.

Noted artist of Ker­ala and Sec­re­tary of Ker­ala Lalithakala Academy Pon­niam Chan­dran, will be the Chief Guest. Mr Chan­dran, hold­ing masters in Po­lit­i­cal Sci­ence is a lead­ing Artist of Ker­ala and did his stud­ies in paint­ing from School of Arts Tha­lassery as well as at Ecole Des Bour Art Caebm France. Be­ing an artist, he has con­ducted sev­eral ex­hi­bi­tions all over In­dia as well as abroad. Fur­ther he is re­cip­i­ent of sev­eral awards in­clud­ing Lalithakala Academy and schol­ar­ships from In­dia as well as from Gov­ern­ment of France to visit and study.

The high­light of Rain­bow 2016 will be the “Paint­ing Work­shop” on “New Tech­niques on Paint­ing” ex­clu­sive for stu­dents reg­is­tered for the paint­ing com­pe­ti­tions. This will be an Au­dio Vis­ual event de­scrib­ing the his­tory of paint­ing from the an­cient era to cur­rent tran­si­tions in the mod­ern days. The sched­ule of the paint­ing work­shop shall be from 6 pm to 8 pm at United In­dian School, Ab­bassiya, on 10 Novem­ber 2016. There­after, Mr Chan­dran will have an Tech­ni­cal In­ter­ac­tion on the “Eth­nic Arts and Mod­ern Vi­su­al­iza­tion” with the pro­fes­sional artists of Kuwait at Man­gaf KALA Cen­tre from 8.30 pm. The en­try is open and all are wel­come.
