Kuwait shooters grab medals galore at UAE tourney
KUWAIT: President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Duaij Al-Otaibi has lauded the achievements made by Kuwaiti Shooters during the Sixth Asian Clay Target Shooting Tournament held in Abu Dhabi, UAE (from November 1st until November 9). Kuwait shooters won seven gold, four silver and two bronze medals under the supervision of the Asian Shooting confederation.
Al-Otaibi who was at the reception to honor the Kuwaiti Shooters after dominating the Trap, Double trap and Skeet, said Kuwait Shooting is moving from one success to another in various events - be it local or international. These successes, he said, come with the grace of Almighty Allah, and with the support of HH the Amir, HH the Crown Prince, HH the Prime Minister, Information Minister, State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and Public Authority for Sport under the leadership of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour Al-Sabah.
Al-Otaibi thanked sports officials in the United Arab Emirates including Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed, the tournament sponsor, President of UAE sports federation Maj Gen Ahmad Alreesi, UAE Shooting Federation Brig Abdallah Salem bin Yacoub. He also lauded the efforts of the Asian Shooting confederation under the leadership of President Sheikh Ali AlKhaleefa. He said that the tournament was highly successful, adding that all the factors of success were there- starting with the organization to the UAE hospitality. Al-Otaibi dedicated this distinguished achievement to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
