Is­lamic NGOs to meet in Is­tan­bul to aid Ye­men

The In­ter­na­tional Re­lief and Devel­op­ment Or­ga­ni­za­tion (IRD) in co­op­er­a­tion with the Union of NGOs of The Is­lamic World held a con­fer­ence in Is­tan­bul themed “The In­ter­na­tional Ye­men Hu­man­i­tar­ian Aid Con­fer­ence”.

Arab, Turk­ish and in­ter­na­tional civil so­ci­ety or­ga­ni­za­tions in­clud­ing Kuwaiti Al-Na­jat Char­i­ta­ble So­ci­ety will be pre­par­ing a hu­man­i­tar­ian fleet, car­ry­ing re­lief aid in­clud­ing food parcels, clothes and med­i­cal equip­ment to the war-torn Ye­men in the near fu­ture.

The In­ter­na­tional Re­lief and Devel­op­ment Or­ga­ni­za­tion (IRD) Chair­man Hameed Zeyad said “Our role as civil so­ci­ety or­ga­ni­za­tions is ded­i­cated in of­fer­ing aid to poor peo­ple and peo­ple in need all over the world”. He called on in­ter­na­tional re­lief agen­cies to spread jus­tice, broth­er­hood, mercy, and of­fer aid to peo­ple in need. Chair­man of NGOs of the Is­lamic World Ali Kurt said that the na­tions pay the price of crises through blood.

The one-day con­fer­ence was at­tended by 200 peo­ple rep­re­sent­ing Arab, Turk­ish and in­ter­na­tional or­ga­ni­za­tions. This con­fer­ence is dis­cussing means of es­tab­lish­ing hu­man­i­tar­ian projects to aid and de­velop Ye­men. In­ter­na­tional Re­lief and Devel­op­ment, Inc. (IRD) or Blu­mont is a non-profit, non-gov­ern­men­tal or­ga­ni­za­tion re­spon­si­ble for im­ple­ment­ing re­lief, sta­bi­liza­tion and devel­op­ment pro­grams world­wide. — KUNA
