GCC MEET­ING TO DIS­CUSS IM­POR­TANT TOP­ICS: MIN­IS­TER

Min­is­ter of So­cial Af­fairs and La­bor Hind Al-Subaih said yes­ter­daythe 3rd ses­sion of the GCC La­bor Min­istries Com­mit­tee and So­cial Af­fairs Min­istries Com­mit­tee due in Riyadh today will dis­cuss im­por­tant top­ics re­lated to joint GCC work. This came dur­ing Subaih’s state­ment be­fore leav­ing for Riyadh, head­ing Kuwait’s del­e­ga­tion par­tic­i­pat­ing in the ses­sion.

Amongst the top­ics to be dis­cussed by the meet­ing are en­hanc­ing GCC joint ac­tion, the uni­form code of pro­tect­ing the dis­abled as well as dis­cussing ear­lier so­cial res­o­lu­tions, the state­ment said. The agenda of the third meet­ing will also ad­dress the uni­form law on vol­un­tary work, GCC strat­egy in so­cial devel­op­ment, King­dom of Bahrain’s pro­posal to form a co­or­di­nat­ing body for the char­i­ta­ble work in the Gulf, in ad­di­tion to sus­tain­able devel­op­ment goals in 2030. —KUNA
