The Kuwait Author­ity For Part­ner­ship Projects (KAPP) is sched­uled to of­fer the rail­way project’s ten­der for pub­lic bid­ding dur­ing the first half of 2017 be­cause it is com­mit­ted to ex­e­cut­ing the project jointly with other GCC states. The project com­prises of a rail­way net­work link­ing Kuwait City to the air­port and marine ports as well as link Kuwait with other GCC states over a 511-km long two-way rail­way line. KAPP is also pre­par­ing to of­fer a ten­der to build the Khairan power and wa­ter de­sali­na­tion plant for pub­lic bid­ding be­fore the end of the year.

Kuwait Univer­sity’s higher (post­grad­u­ate) stud­ies col­lege an­nounced new mas­ters pro­grams and three new PhD pro­grams will be ac­cred­ited soon. The col­lege also an­nounced state­less stu­dents would be ac­cepted once a min­is­te­rial de­ci­sion is is­sued in this re­gard. They would be ac­cepted within the 20 per­cent ra­tio al­lo­cated for non-Kuwaitis as per the global uni­ver­si­ties’ clas­si­fi­ca­tion sys­tem.
