Participants hail PAAET’s Heading Global conference
KUWAIT: In a statement commenting on the Heading Global conference hosted by the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), head of Dubai University Professor Essa Al-Bastaki hailed the meeting which discussed sustainable development, smart cities, smart learning, healthcare, roads and various aspects of life. Also speaking at the conference, Dr Talal Al-Huraiji from Saudi Arabia said the conference was a first step towards holding further similar events and investing in youth potentials and the knowledge economy. He added that the conference was a great chance to exchange expertise.
ACICO CEO Ghossoun Al-Khaled expressed hope that the conference’s recommendations would be put into practice in order to achieve a better future for Kuwait and other GCC states. Deputy Chairman of Total UAE Sultan Al-Hajji spoke about the role of the youth in the future of the knowledge economy and how they can prepare themselves to cope with the latest technological developments.
Boubyan Bank deputy CEO Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri spoke about smart communities and sustainability. The head of the conference’s scientific committee Professor Elias Carayannis from George Washington University said that the conference was the first of its kind in the region and that it focuses on sustainable and comprehensive smart development.
