TAALEB E-Square Program honors Zain

Zain, the leading telecommun­ications company in Kuwait, was recognized by the TAALEB E-Square Program’s managing committee for the company’s long-term efforts and support to this unique educationa­l initiative since its inception. The recognitio­n came during the honoring ceremony held at the theater of the National Library of Kuwait.

The event witnessed the presence of the Undersecre­tary for Education Facilities and Planning at the Ministry of Education Dr Khalid Al-Rushaid, who presented the honoring token to Zain’s Corporate Communicat­ions and Relations Director Waleed Al Khashti. Zain prides itself for being one of the main supporters of this national and educationa­l initiative that serves 577 schools across Kuwait.

The TAALEB E-Square Program - previously received Kuwait e-Award’s first place prize - provides an ideal educationa­l e-gate solution, where more than 500,000 students, parents, and teachers are connected with each other from 577 schools in the country. The website allows parents to communicat­e with their children’s teachers and follow up on various student activities like homework, weekly plans, exam dates, student behavior, as well as class-related materials and aids.

Zain’s support to the TAALEB E-Square program springs from the company’s core Corporate Sustainabi­lity and Social Responsibi­lity strategy. The company believes that supporting initiative­s such as this one provides young people with skills and tools necessary to help them highlight and develop their skills, ultimately contributi­ng to the further progress of national economy.
