INJAZ Al-Arab CEOs align strate­gies to im­pact 1 mil­lion youth in MENA by 2022

The Ta­lent De­vel­op­ment Com­pany (TDC) at Al­ghanim In­dus­tries, one of the largest pri­vate com­pa­nies in the re­gion, at­tended the INJAZ Al Arab CEO Re­treat held last month in Amman, Jor­dan. The event was at­tended by the CEO of INJAZ Al-Arab, Akef Aqrabawi, and CEOs from 10 of the 14 mem­ber na­tions of INJAZ Al Arab. In this meet­ing, the CEOs dis­cussed and aligned their strate­gies and next steps to achieve their goal of im­pact­ing 1 mil­lion youth in the MENA re­gion by 2022.

Se­nior Man­ager - Ta­lent De­vel­op­ment Com­pany, Evan Glas­sett, who vol­un­teered to be the lead fa­cil­i­ta­tor dur­ing the INJAZ Al Arab CEO re­treat, said: “Our dis­cus­sions fo­cused on new ini­tia­tives to en­rich the Arab youth such as, tap­ping into the el­e­men­tary school age group, part­ner­ing with the Min­istries of Ed­u­ca­tion to make Ju­nior Achieve­ment Pro­grams part of the cur­ricu­lum, and other key ini­tia­tives that will pos­i­tively lead to the shared vi­sion of rais­ing the next gen­er­a­tion of youth in Kuwait and the Arab world. “

In ad­di­tion to the new key ini­tia­tives, the dis­cus­sion also em­pha­sized main­tain­ing pre­vi­ous ini­tia­tives for strength­en­ing and grow­ing the brand, ex­pand­ing ge­o­graph­i­cally, sub­li­cens­ing, im­pact as­sess­ments and the in­sti­tu­tion­al­iza­tion of fund­ing through mul­ti­lat­eral donors.

Look­ing ahead, Rana Al-Nibari, CEO of INJAZ-Kuwait, said: “INJAZ has con­tin­u­ously proven its abil­ity to reach its short and long-term goals. Over the years, INJAZ-Kuwait has fos­tered and grown strong re­la­tion­ships with pri­vate sec­tore part­ners. Their con­tin­uos sup­port and be­lief in our vi­sion for youth em­pow­er­ment will be es­sen­tial in im­pact­ing 1 mil­lion youth by 2022.”

Al­ghanim In­dus­tries sup­ports the ef­fort of INJAZKuwait to pro­vide Kuwait’s youth with the skills they need to build suc­cess­ful ca­reers in the fu­ture. For the past five years, Al­ghanim In­dus­tries em­ploy­ees have contributed the most vol­un­teers rel­a­tive to other com­pa­nies sup­port­ing INJAZ-Kuwait.

The com­mit­ment to sup­port INJAZ is part of Al­ghanim In­dus­tries’ Cor­po­rate So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity (CSR) pro­gram, which fo­cuses on giv­ing back to the com­mu­nity, sup­port­ing ed­u­ca­tion and en­cour­ag­ing en­trepreneur­ship. It is worth not­ing that the com­pany was a strate­gic spon­sor to the Tm­keen Youth Sym­po­sium this year, and has been a plat­inum spon­sor of startup week­end - Kuwait for four con­sec­u­tive years, in ad­di­tion to be­ing a plat­inum spon­sor of “ArabNet Con­fer­ence” and pro­vid­ing free event tick­ets to 100 university stu­dents in Kuwait.
