Im­pounded ve­hi­cles’ thief ar­rested

KUWAIT: A 26-year-old cit­i­zen was ar­rested for mul­ti­ple rob­beries of spare parts and con­tents of im­pounded ve­hi­cles at the mu­nic­i­pal­ity garage in Saad AlAb­dul­lah. Se­cu­rity sources noted that af­ter man­ag­ing to evade ar­rest sev­eral times, the sus­pect was am­bushed and ar­rested red-handed. In an­other case, Jahra de­tec­tives lo­cated a ve­hi­cle that had been re­ported stolen aban­doned in Sharq. Se­cu­rity sources said fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tions are in progress to iden­tify the thief. Sep­a­rately, a cit­i­zen was ar­rested for rent­ing a lux­ury ve­hi­cle and not re­turn­ing it to the rental of­fice.

Drug pos­ses­sion

A bedoon was ar­rested in Jahra with four bags of meth and two hashish joints. Mean­while, an Egyp­tian man wanted for a four-year prison sen­tence was ar­rested in Hawally with il­licit pills. Sep­a­rately, a cit­i­zen was ar­rested for drug abuse and pos­ses­sion of drugs, said se­cu­rity sources, not­ing that a po­lice pa­trol stopped the sus­pect when he was spot­ted danc­ing in his seat while driv­ing.

Harassers caught

A num­ber of young men were ar­rested in Nuzha for loi­ter­ing around the area’s coop and ha­rass­ing passersby. —Al-Rai
