DOHA: Kuwait’s del­e­ga­tion to the third meet­ing of NATO’s Is­tan­bul Co­op­er­a­tion Ini­tia­tive (ICI). —KUNA

Gen­eral for Emerg­ing Se­cu­rity Chal­lenges Sorin Du­caru lauded Qatar’s ef­forts to bol­ster NATO’s ties with ICI mem­ber na­tions, not­ing that this meet­ing will prove cru­cial for fur­ther co­op­er­a­tion.

The NATO of­fi­cial also added that the meet­ing will fea­ture dis­cus­sions over a host of se­cu­rity chal­lenges, with fo­cus on the fight against ter­ror­ism and other is­sues. Kuwait’s del­e­ga­tion to the meet­ing is headed by the coun­try’s Am­bas­sador to Bel­gium and Lux­em­bourg and head of its mis­sions to NATO and the Euro­pean Union (EU) Jas­sim Al-Bdaiwi.

The del­e­ga­tion also in­cludes head of the Kuwaiti Na­tional Se­cu­rity Ap­pa­ra­tus’ se­cu­rity in­for­ma­tion and fol­low-up depart­ment Sheikh Fawaz Mishaal Al-Jar­rah Al-Sabah and sec­re­tary at Kuwait’s em­bassy in Bel­gium Ab­dul­mohsen Al-Man­sour. —KUNA
