Jumeirah Mes­si­lah spon­sors RUNQ8 for chil­dren’s healthcare de­vel­op­ment

Jumeirah Mes­si­lah Beach Ho­tel and Spa spon­sored Kuwait’s largest 10km char­ity event, RUNQ8, for the 2nd con­sec­u­tive year as “Friends of the race” in line with the re­sort’s com­mit­ment to sup­port­ing ini­tia­tives that im­prove the health and well­ness of the lo­cal com­mu­nity.

Gen­eral Man­ager Hakan Petek said: “We are pleased to up­hold our pas­sion and ded­i­ca­tion to Cor­po­rate So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity ef­forts in Kuwait in the name of a good cause that raises aware­ness on chil­dren with dis­abil­i­ties. Through our on­go­ing spon­sor­ship of RUNQ8, we are keen to make a pos­i­tive im­pact on chil­dren who are in need of qual­ity care and ac­tive de­vel­op­ment and to ex­tend our sup­port to their fam­i­lies.”

Fol­low­ing the race, Hakan Petek pre­sented the 10km win­ners with a three-month Talise Fit­ness mem­ber­ship pro­gram for the first and sec­ond male and fe­male win­ners in the Adult and Youth groups and for run­ners aged 55 and above in the Masters cat­e­gory.

The an­nual fund-rais­ing event hosted by the Fawzia Sul­tan Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion In­sti­tute, sup­ports the pro­vi­sion of ther­apy pro­grams for ba­bies, chil­dren and young adults, while en­cour­ag­ing healthy liv­ing and a qual­ity life.
