All pro­ce­dures in place for par­lia­ment elections: MoH

All health pre­cau­tions and mea­sures have been com­pleted in time for the par­lia­men­tary elections to­day, the Min­istry of Health (MoH) an­nounced on Thurs­day. In a state­ment to the press, the MoH’s Un­der­sec­re­tary Dr Khaled AlSahlawi said that a higher health com­mit­tee deal­ing with the elections will over­see 61 med­i­cal fa­cil­i­ties in the nation’s five elec­toral con­stituen­cies. He noted that the min­istry would also be pro­vid­ing five am­bu­lances, be­sides 344 emer­gency units and 144 nurses, all of whom will be on duty dur­ing Elec­tion Day. On the pre­cau­tions, the health of­fi­cial said that around 120 per­son­nel will inspect food se­cu­rity and hy­giene con­di­tions in polling sta­tions na­tion­wide dur­ing through the day. Sahlawi urged citizens to dial the fol­low­ing hot­line num­bers, 112 or 132 in case of any health emer­gen­cies.
