‘Italian Week in Kuwait’
Mother nature, the cradle of all creativity, expressly art, regardless of age, as a potpourri of Italian youngsters tried to simulate nature through surreal paintings inspired by children literature. Corridors of the National Library of Kuwait became easels for paintings of 24 young Italian artists, whose nature-induced creations ended up as covers for children’s books. The gallery is part of the ‘Italian Week in Kuwait’, which will wrap up next Saturday. It is held in collaboration with the National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters. Elisa Ferrazzo, one of the curators said that participants in the event represented Italy’s ‘creme de la creme’ in figurative art, music and philosophy; all for the Kuwaiti public to be exposed to.
