Egyp­tian pres­i­dent hon­ors Kuwaiti char­ity of­fice’s head

CAIRO: Egyp­tian Pres­i­dent Ab­delfat­tah Al-Sisi hon­ored head of the Kuwaiti char­ity of­fice in Cairo Is­mael Al-Kan­dari on Thurs­day, giv­ing him the first­class Medal of Sci­ence and Arts. This came dur­ing the cel­e­bra­tion of the Prophet Muham­mad’s (PBUH) birth­day an­niver­sary, with the par­tic­i­pa­tion of sev­eral dig­ni­taries, sci­en­tists and cler­gy­men from Arab and Mus­lim coun­tries.

Com­ment­ing on the hon­or­ing, Kan­dari said this is an hon­or­ing for the State of Kuwait, the gov­ern­ment and Kuwaitis, as well as Zakat House in recog­ni­tion of their distin­guished ef­forts in hu­man­i­tar­ian and de­vel­op­men­tal ac­tion in Egypt.

It re­flects the deep-rooted and solid re­la­tions be­tween the two coun­tries, he added, stat­ing that the Zakat House has been sup­port­ing char­i­ta­ble and de­vel­op­men­tal projects in Egypt. Kan­dari ded­i­cated the medal to His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His High­ness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. — KUNA
