Se­cu­rity chief meets with Sin­ga­pore’s DM

MANAMA: The Chief of Kuwait’s Na­tional Se­cu­rity Bu­reau Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met yes­ter­day with Dr NG Eng Hen, Sin­ga­pore’s Min­is­ter of De­fense, in Manama, Bahrain yes­ter­day. Dur­ing the meet­ing, they dis­cussed a num­ber of re­gional and international is­sues with mu­tual con­cern, in ad­di­tion of bi­lat­eral co­op­er­a­tion. Mean­while, Sheikh Thamer stressed the im­por­tance of en­hanc­ing the bi­lat­eral re­la­tion in se­cu­rity and de­fense fields in order to fight ter­ror and bring sta­bil­ity to the area, in ad­di­tion of sup­port­ing the refugees and dis­placed peo­ples, af­fected by the on­go­ing wars in the re­gion. The Sin­ga­porean min­is­ter said that sta­bi­liz­ing the re­gion and en­hanc­ing se­cu­rity comes on top of his county’s in­ter­est spe­cially when it comes to fight the so-called Is­lamic State (IS), point­ing out that Sin­ga­pore is ea­ger to en­hance its re­la­tion with Kuwait.
