Mubarak ELT holds sec­ond school scrab­ble com­pe­ti­tion

Mubarak Al-Kabeer ELT su­per­vi­sion re­cently or­ga­nized the sec­ond an­nual school scrab­ble com­pe­ti­tion for the area’s boys high schools. The event was hosted by HOD, Hatem Abo Saif at Imam Malek Sec­ondary School for boys where a stu­dent rep­re­sented each of the area’s seven male high schools.

The or­ga­niz­ing com­mit­tee was headed by Mubarak ELT Se­nior Su­per­vi­sor, Hadeel Al-Kan­dari and in­cluded ELT su­per­vi­sors, Mah­moud Al-Na­j­jar, Habib Rez­zouk and Ali in ad­di­tion to English teachers, Mul­ham Ad­nan, Waleed Ja’far, Has­san Ab­dul Bari and Scrab­ble ex­pert Shakir Re­shamwala as judges.

The stu­dents played three qual­i­fy­ing rounds be­fore the fi­nal game where stu­dent Muhab Mul­ham, from Imam Malek school won the first place and will ac­cord­ingly rep­re­sent the area in the sec­ond round of the com­pe­ti­tion amongst all ed­u­ca­tional ar­eas in Kuwait. No­tably, scrab­ble was in­tro­duced as a school ac­tiv­ity last year and ever since, the game has been at­tract­ing more and more stu­dents.
