Crime Man killed in three-way crash

KUWAIT: A Kuwaiti mo­torist was killed while two others were in­jured in a three-car col­li­sion re­ported along Mut­laa high­way, said se­cu­rity sources. Paramedics, fire­fight­ers and po­lice rushed to the scene as soon as the ac­ci­dent was re­ported, but dis­cov­ered that one victim had al­ready suc­cumbed to his fa­tal wounds. His body was left for crim­i­nal de­tec­tives while the other two were rushed to the hos­pi­tal. A case was filed to in­ves­ti­gate the causes of the crash.


A young cit­i­zen was badly in­jured when six others with whom he had a fight ear­lier in­side a Far­waniya shop­ping mall re­sumed the fight out­side and stabbed him, said se­cu­rity sources. The man was rushed to Far­waniya hos­pi­tal and ad­mit­ted to the in­ten­sive care unit (ICU). A case was filed for in­ves­ti­ga­tions.

Drunk cou­ple caught

A cit­i­zen and his Kuwaiti girl­friend were ar­rested out­side a build­ing where they had been drink­ing in Fin­tas, said se­cu­rity sources. The cou­ple were shout­ing at each other, af­ter which one of the ten­ants called the po­lice. On check­ing the suspects, the man was found wanted for break and en­try while the woman was found wanted for a KD 6,000 fi­nan­cial claim.

Har­bor­ing a fugi­tive

A cit­i­zen was ar­rested in Salmiya for pos­sess­ing il­licit pills and har­bor­ing a fugi­tive; a fe­male cit­i­zen who had been re­ported miss­ing by her fam­ily, said se­cu­rity sources. The two were taken to the proper au­thor­i­ties for fur­ther ac­tion.

Sus­pected theft

Two peo­ple, Asian and Arab, were re­cently ar­rested pos­sess­ing cop­per ca­bles that they claimed to have ob­tained from the desert. A case was filed and fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion is in progress. They were held on sus­pi­cion of theft.

Boot­leg­ger caught

An Asian taxi driver was re­cently ar­rested in Mah­boula with 85 home­brewed liquor bot­tles ready for sale, said se­cu­rity sources. The man was sent to the proper au­thor­i­ties to face sev­eral charges in­clud­ing al­co­hol mak­ing, pos­ses­sion and traf­fick­ing.

Car thief de­tained

A bedoon man in his for­ties was re­cently ar­rested in Ha­sawi area with il­licit pills and some tools he had been us­ing for break­ing ve­hi­cles open and steal­ing their parts. He was taken to the proper au­thor­i­ties for fur­ther in­ter­ro­ga­tion.


An African woman work­ing for a cos­met­ics com­pany was re­cently ar­rested in Riga’ie when de­tec­tives found out that her res­i­dency visa had ex­pired 18 months ear­lier. Pa­trol of­fi­cers had stopped the woman dur­ing a rou­tine check, and ap­pre­hended her when they dis­cov­ered that she had an ex­pired visa. The woman was sent to the proper au­thor­i­ties for de­por­ta­tion.
