17 peo­ple evac­u­ated from burn­ing house

A fire broke out in a Salam house, and fire­men freed 17 peo­ple trapped due to thick smoke. Two per­sons suf­fered light burns, while the rest suf­fered smoke in­hala­tion. They were sent to hospi­tal for treat­ment. An in­ves­ti­ga­tion was opened to de­ter­mine the cause of the fire.

Two books

In­te­rior Min­istry Un­der­sec­re­tary Lt Gen Suleiman Al-Fahd re­ceived Lt Col Dr Yousuf AlYaqout from Saad Al-Ab­dul­lah Se­cu­rity Sci­ences Academy, who pre­sented him with two books: “En­cy­clo­pe­dia of Kuwait laws con­cerned with fight­ing ter­ror­ism” and “Ter­ror­ists and killers”.

Air­port statis­tics

In­te­rior Min­istry’s Re­la­tions and Se­cu­rity In­for­ma­tion Depart­ment said the num­ber of de­par­tures dur­ing Nov 2016 to­taled 398,295 per­sons - 118,675 Kuwaitis and 29,016 Gulf na­tion­als, in ad­di­tion to 250,604 peo­ple of other na­tion­al­i­ties. Ar­rivals in Nov to­taled 359,949 115,825 Kuwaitis, 25,874 Gulf na­tion­als and 218,250 of other na­tion­al­i­ties.

Statis­tics also showed that 19,369 visas were is­sued at the air­port, while de­por­ta­tion fin­ger­prints of­fi­cers busted 64 per­sons, while 10 peo­ple were al­lowed in af­ter the de­por­ta­tion ban was lifted. Mean­while, 124 per­sons were ar­rested and sent to con­cerned author­i­ties.
