Friend’s killer found guilty of sec­ond de­gree mur­der

The crim­i­nal court yes­ter­day sen­tenced a cit­i­zen who killed his friend in a fight in the Qashaniya desert to three years and four months in jail. The court ex­plained its verdict by con­sid­er­ing the killing as sec­ond de­gree mur­der dur­ing a fight. No­tably, the pub­lic pros­e­cu­tion will file an ap­peal and de­mand a stricter penalty.

Eco­nomic plan

MP Mo­hammed Al-Dal­lal an­nounced that he has col­lected some of his col­leagues’ sig­na­tures for a de­mand to hold a spe­cial ses­sion to dis­cuss the gov­ern­ment’s eco­nomic plan on Jan 10. He added that the plan needs to be ex­plained.

Hospi­tal tours

Health Min­is­ter Dr Ja­mal Al-Harbi started tour­ing pub­lic hos­pi­tals and poly­clin­ics to in­spect the qual­ity of med­i­cal ser­vices pro­vided there. Harbi stressed that the tour aims at prob­ing cit­i­zens’ prob­lems re­lated to med­i­cal ser­vices, and the main goal in this pe­riod is to re­gain cit­i­zens’ trust in med­i­cal ser­vices. Harbi also noted that his motto is ‘Out­stand­ing Healthcare’.
